Property Description
To rejuvenate, simply immerse yourself in the wonder of the mountain landscapes and relax in a place that looks like something out of a fairy tale. This beautiful, typical mountain house in the Leventina Valley welcomes you with the warmth of wood, the main element throughout the house, and with many thoughtful details that will make you feel right at home! Upon entering the first floor, to the left, is a modern, custom-designed kitchen with an induction cooktop, oven, and dishwasher, as well as everything needed to prepare and serve meals, and a traditional wood-burning stove with a hearth. To the right, a large table with a bench and chairs awaits, ready to welcome the whole family or a group of friends for a romantic dinner! As you ascend the stairs, you'll reach the attic room. To the left is a double bed, and to the right, a relaxation area with satellite TV and a sofa that can be converted into a double bed for the night (please note: the sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed upon your arrival, as we believe it's best for you to use as a sofa during the day. You'll find the linens, pillows, and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa). To share the two rooms, there is a small bathroom with a toilet and sink. On the ground floor, accessible from the outside, there is a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room with a washing machine and clothes racks. You can also store your sports equipment (bicycles, skis) here.
High-quality linens, towels, and a toiletries kit are provided. We've also left a welcome basket with some essentials for your first breakfast. Free Wi-Fi is available. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Any commercial activity is prohibited in the apartment.
Parking: You can stop for a few minutes next to the house to unload your car (without blocking traffic) and then park in the free municipal parking spaces. Public parking is also available.
In the surrounding area: Sobrio is a picturesque mountain village from which numerous hiking and mountain biking trails begin in the summer, and in the winter, skis, snowmobiles, and snowshoes are available. Hiking maps are available in the house. Sobrio is also a stop along the famous Strada Alta della Leventina (45 km), a hiking trail that starts in Airolo and ends in Biasca. Sobrio is only 35 minutes from the ski slopes of Carì. Takeaway pizza is available on weekends. A grocery store, "Negozio di Noemi," is available in Anzonico from Monday to Saturday. Faido is a small village in the Leventina mountains, a 20-minute drive away. Stroll among the small churches, log cabins, and Liberty-style villas that recall Faido's glorious past as a resort town at the beginning of the 20th century! Faido offers three supermarkets, a renowned bakery producing typical local products, two pharmacies, a butcher, and a dairy selling local goods. (Banks, post office, restaurants) Among the region's most visited natural landscapes are the stunning Piumogna Waterfalls, a popular destination for tourists in the summer. For mountain enthusiasts, there are numerous trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno, and Carì, known for their popular winter ski resorts. These same routes are also perfect for mountain biking. Curling fans will find an indoor ice rink in Faido.
